Stop Finding Out From A Phone Call

When a client calls to say their website is down or a server is full, the damage is already done. ExaGuards is built so your team hears about problems first, often before anyone at the client has noticed.

The agent reports the health of every Windows device continuously. Uptime checks test your clients' websites, certificates, mail servers, databases and network services on the schedule you choose. When something crosses a threshold or stops responding, notification rules decide who needs to know, how, and what happens if nobody responds.

DEVICE MONITORING

Complete Visibility Into Every Windows Device

The ExaGuards agent installs as a Windows service and runs quietly in the background. It reports a detailed, always-current picture of each machine, so your technicians can diagnose most issues without a site visit or a phone call to the user.

  • Security status for antivirus, firewall and Group Policy
  • Services, processes and sessions running on the machine
  • Installed software and Windows version details
  • Storage and performance counters to catch trends early
  • Hardware inventory including CPU, memory and network adapters
  • Scheduled tasks that run PowerShell scripts and file checks
UPTIME MONITORING

Thirteen Ways To Confirm Everything Is Up

Every monitor runs on its own schedule, from every few seconds to once a month, and records a full history of when it went down and when it recovered.

STATUS PAGES

Give Clients Transparency, Automatically

Publish a clean, auto-refreshing status page for any client, showing the health of the services you monitor for them. Clients can check it themselves instead of calling your help desk, and it demonstrates the value of the monitoring you provide every single day.

Heartbeat monitors complete the picture. Scheduled jobs such as backups or data syncs check in to a unique ExaGuards address each time they run. If a check-in does not arrive on time, you are alerted, so silent failures stop being silent.

NOTIFICATION TRIGGERS

The Right Alert, To The Right Person, Every Time

Notification triggers let you decide exactly what should happen when an event occurs. Events come from across the platform: devices and agents, uptime monitors, domains, support tickets, credentials, estimates, sign-ins and even employee clock-ins.

Each trigger can notify several contacts through several channels, escalate if nobody acknowledges it, and include a one-click acknowledgement link so your team knows the issue is being handled.

  • SMS, email and automated phone calls
  • Push notifications to the ExaGuards mobile app
  • Microsoft Teams messages and signed webhooks
  • Automatic support ticket creation
  • Escalation and acknowledgement tracking

Beyond Up And Down

Monitors From Domains

ExaGuards reads a domain's DNS records and suggests the monitors you should create, so nothing is missed when onboarding a new client.

Software Inventory

See every installed application across all devices, grouped by product and version, to plan upgrades and spot unapproved software.

User Activity Insights

Sign-ins, screen locks, active applications and idle time, summarised by day, to understand how devices are used.

DNS Activity

See which websites and hosts each process on a device looked up, collected from Windows itself without capturing network traffic.

Screen Recording

Optional periodic screenshots stored securely in the cloud, for organisations that require a visual record.

Agent Tasks

Schedule PowerShell scripts, performance counter collection and file checks to run on devices automatically.

QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Something else on your mind? Ask us during a demo.

How often do uptime checks run?

You choose the interval for each monitor, from every few seconds for critical services up to monthly for things like certificate expiry reminders.

What happens when a monitor goes down?

ExaGuards records the event and runs any notification triggers you have set up. That can mean texting the on-call technician, calling them, posting to Microsoft Teams, sending a webhook or creating a support ticket automatically.

Does the agent slow computers down?

The agent runs as a background Windows service and is designed to be lightweight. You control which optional features, such as screen recording, are turned on.

Can clients see their own status?

Yes. You can publish a public status page for a client, showing the services you monitor for them, which refreshes automatically.
